Proud Partner Air North

March 13, 2026

Air North, Yukon’s Airline, has been proudly connecting northern communities and beyond since 1977. Founded with deep local roots, we’re more than an airline, we’re a community partner built by and for the North. Sponsoring the 2026 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse is a natural fit for us. The Games celebrate northern resilience, talent, culture, and connection, which are values that align perfectly with who we are and how we show up every day across the North.

The Arctic Winter Games represent far more than sport. They bring together young athletes, cultures, and communities from across the North in a powerful celebration of unity and northern pride. At Air North, strengthening communities is at the heart of our Spirit in Action program, which supports initiatives in sport, youth development, arts, indigenous culture, and wellness. AWG embodies each of these pillars, making our support both meaningful and purposeful.

Air North is deeply committed to the communities we serve. We are known for our warm northern hospitality (and famous in-flight cookie). Through our Spirit in Action program, we invest in initiatives that strengthen community wellness, support youth development, celebrate arts and culture, and encourage participation in sport across the North. Our connection to the Arctic Winter Games runs deep, and over the years we’ve supported generations of northern athletes by helping them travel to train, compete, and represent their home regions. Many members of our own team are athletes, volunteers, and longtime fans who have experienced firsthand the energy and sense of pride that the Games inspire.

As a proud partner of the 2026 Arctic Winter Games, we are honoured to help bring people together in Whitehorse to celebrate athletic excellence, cultural expression, and northern unity. We look forward to welcoming athletes, families, and visitors from across the world and playing our part in creating an unforgettable Games experience. At Air North, connecting people and places is what we do best, and AWG 2026 is a perfect reflection of that spirit.

We can’t wait to celebrate the incredible athletes, cultures, and communities that make the Arctic Winter Games, and the North, so extraordinary.
